About The Realm Of Carin INC.

About Us: The Realm of Caring INC.

The Realm of Caring INC. is more than an event producer; we are a specialized resource for Colorado’s music educators. We operate as a social enterprise to bridge the funding gap for rural music programs. By providing high-tech production assets—valued at over $300,000—as a Programmatic Service, we eliminate the capital barriers that prevent schools from hosting successful fundraisers.

Unlike commercial event rentals, the Realm of Caring INC. operates under a strict non-commercial settlement model.

Programmatic Delivery: We provide the gear, insurance, and technical staff as a service to the school.

Zero-Risk Settlement: Schools only settle equipment fees after the gate revenue is collected, ensuring the music program never loses money.

70% Commitment: Once baseline operational costs are met, 70% of every net dollar is reinvested into our Music Education Grant Fund.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Realm of Caring INC. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit restoring musical biodiversity by bridging the funding gap for Colorado youth music programs. We deploy a $302,000 programmatic technical asset base to provide underfunded schools with zero-risk fundraising platforms and vocational training. Through our 70% Reinvestment Standard, we ensure every community-powered experience directly funds instruments, scholarships, and internships, ensuring every child has the right to a musical education.

TRUST & TRANSPARENCY

We are committed to the highest standards of transparency and accountability. We operate under a strict “70% Reinvestment Standard” to ensure that the vast majority of net proceeds from every event directly benefit local music programs. By utilizing a “no-risk” fundraising model, we protect the budgets of the educators and schools we serve, ensuring that fundraising never feels like a gamble.

The Realm of Caring, founded in 2007 by Chris Davis, was initially established to address significant budget cuts in school music and art programs. After a period of inactivity between 2009 and 2026, the organization was revitalized by Scott and Eileen Peterson, who restored its good standing with the IRS and developed a new digital presence.

2026 Revitalization and “Laser Circus”

The organization’s modern phase is defined by a major investment in production technology to support its fundraising mission:

  • Production Equipment: Over $300,000 has been invested in high-end equipment, including a specialized box truck for transport.
  • High-Tech LED Floor: The centerpiece is a 1,300-square-foot LED dance floor purchased from Eyeline Studios in Hollywood. This P2.97 resolution floor, originally used for filmmaking, has been repurposed for immersive fundraising events.
  • Laser and Audio Gear: The “Laser Circus” concept includes 30 Laserforce Gen8 battlesuits, 400 silent disco headsets, fog machines, and a 10-watt laser.

Impact and Partnerships

The Realm of Caring focuses on “Musical Biodiversity” and local student support:

Mount Princeton Residency and Programming

The residency at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort serves as a strategic cornerstone for the organization, providing a consistent platform to support regional music education. This partnership has directly impacted more than 500 students throughout Chaffee and Lake County.

Beyond traditional music support, the residency utilizes the organization’s $300,000 investment in professional production equipment to host unique, high-tech fundraising events.

High-Tech Event Programming

The revitalization of the organization introduced several immersive event concepts designed to engage the community and raise funds:

    • Laser Line Dance: These events utilize the “Laser Circus” production suite, combining traditional dance with advanced lighting and laser effects.
    • Silent Disco Infinity Pool: Leveraging the 400 purchased silent disco headsets, this program allows guests to enjoy a curated audio experience while utilizing the resort’s aquatic facilities.
    • Immersive LED Dance Floor Experiences: The 1,300-square-foot P2.97 LED floor, repurposed from Hollywood movie-making technology, serves as the foundation for high-tech fundraising.
      • Immersive Dinner: A high-end dining experience hosted directly on the LED floor tiles.
      • Immersive Yoga: Wellness programming that utilizes the visual resolution and scale of the LED floor to create unique environments.
    • 3K Family Fun Run: Community-focused athletic programming designed to be accessible to all ages while supporting local music initiatives.
  • Direct Support: The organization utilizes a 70% Reinvestment Standard to fund instrument repairs and provide sheet music for local school bands.
  • Regional Initiatives: Support extends to travel for state competitions, guest clinicians for workshops in Lake County, and scholarships for private instruction in the Edwards and Vail Valley regions.

Recent Projects

  • Rokskool Donation: The organization donated $5,000 to rokskool.org in Salida, Colorado, to hire 50 West Productions for professional multi-camera filming and editing of youth band performances from Winterfest.
  • Virtual Seat Campaign: Currently, the organization is raising funds for a “virtual seat campaign” to purchase Genesis II streaming equipment.
